The Division of Industrial Design (DID) offers a highly selective degree course in Industrial Design. We teach a potent combination of Design Thinking, innovation methods, and a clever mix of artistic, humanistic, technological and business disciplines. Our graduates are enabled to take up highly-valuable and versatile roles as creative designers, innovators, entrepreneurs, and leaders of change and life improvement.

Founded in 1905, the National University of Singapore (NUS) is the largest and most respected university in the nation. The Division of Industrial Design was founded as Singapore's first university-level course in Industrial Design in 1999, and within 15 years built a stellar track record, ranked 38 in the 2015 QS World University Rankings by Subject: Art & Design.

The Division invites suitably qualified candidates for 3 available appointments:
The applicant should have an excellent track record in an area relevant to design, with substantial experience in teaching, design research or professional practice, in at least one of the following fields:

1. Tangible Interaction and/or Digital Interaction (UIUX).

2. Innovation and Technology, Entrepreneurship.

3. Materials and Manufacturing, Sustainability.

The faculty position serves to strengthen teaching pedagogy and design and research development in these fields related to Industrial Design.
Responsibilities:
The appointee/s will be involved in teaching at undergraduate and/or graduate levels and undertake administrative or management duties. The appointee will be expected to undertake academic, educational and/or design research.
Qualifications:
Candidates are expected to hold at least a Master degree with relevant experience in professional practice and/or design research. Preference will be given to candidates with a strong record in teaching.
